Chopda Hospital is known for being the 1st hospital in Nasik to introduce 4D echocardiography. It is also the 1st to perform an electrophysiology study (EPS), use an Impella left ventricular assist device, implant the 1st drug-eluting stent, and successfully perform complex coronary angioplasty using specialised techniques like rotablation, intravascular ultrasounds, intravascular lithotripsy, optical coherence tomography, ECMOs, IABPs and IFR / FFR studies and pioneer the 1st Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) – both valve-in-valve and native valve replacement and implantation.

Project PAMI: Primary Angioplasty in Acute Myocardial Infarction

The Department of Cardiology at Magnum is a leader in angioplasty in North Maharastra . It has pioneered  PAMI , which has been specifically designed for patients who have had major heart attacks and for whom timely medical intervention is critical. The cardiac team is available round-the-clock, which includes a senior and a junior cardiologist, a cardiac anaesthetist, a technician and a nurse, in addition to the emergency services staff.

Heart Failure and Cardiac Rehabilitation

Paediatric Cardiology

With ultramodern echocardiography equipment for evaluating heart disease in children, the Department of Cardiology offers correction of defects such as a hole in the heart and narrowing of valves from birth.
